Silver Strand State Beach
Campground

San Diego Beach Camping

Silver Strand State Beach is unique in that it has two sides of beach: the ocean side and the San Diego Bay side. The two sides are divided by Highway 75 and pedestrian tunnels go under the highway to the bay side.

On the ocean side, south of the developed area is 1 1/2 miles of undeveloped beach and a natural preserve. On the bay side, the water is calmer and warmer, ideal for boating activities.

Between both sides, Silver Strand offers lots to do, such as volleyball, fishing, boating, water skiing, sailing and swimming. Crown Cove Trail offers a .8 mile trail with bay views.
