San Pedro Real Estate

To buy San Pedro real estate is to invest in this historically interesting community which serves as the Port of Los Angeles. Seated between Long Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula, San Pedro California is also a major hub for passenger cruise ships, in addition to Catalina Island ferries.

There's an old town with lots of shops and restaurants, and a dining and shopping area (Ports O' Call Village) along the main channel which leads into the Port of Los Angeles. Plus there's the beach, the aquarium and the marina.

The population is around 19,000, so it's really a small town within the city of Los Angeles.

As of February 2010, the median sales price according to Zillow.com is right around $420,000, depending on the neighborhood.
