San Diego Camping
By The Beach

If you're looking for San Diego camping spots by the beach in Southern California, you have a few choices. San Diego is a great place to go camping, especially because of the year round nearly perfect weather.

Also, there's no shortage of fun water activities at both the beach and the bay. Then there's all those family attractions to enjoy, such as Sea World, the Zoo, Old Town and Balboa Park with its many museums.

Campland On the Bay RV & Tent Camping Resort offers campsites at Mission Bay. They have boat rentals, a little beach, a swimming pool and more.

Another campground that has a beach on Mission Bay is the Mission Bay RV Park. They also have a boat launch for those who bring their own.

The nice thing about camping at Mission Bay is that it is so conveniently close to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World.

Silver Strand State Beach offers RV camping on Coronado. If you go to the San Diego campground page, you can get more information on these and other camping spots in and around San Diego, including Chula Vista and La Mesa.

Near Encinitas, in San Diego North County, there are a couple of other fine campgrounds at the beach. San Elijo State Beach has campsites available. Snorkelers and divers enjoy the nearby reef. For more information, call 760-753-5091.
Book a site at San Elijo through ReserveAmerica.

Further up the coast, South Carlsbad State Beach has a nice campground on the bluff overlooking the ocean.

Its a good idea to book your campgrounds early if you are planning to come in summer or on a three day weekend.
