Camping On The Bluffs

San Clemente State Beach Campground

San Clemente State Beach is a mile long and is set below tall, scenic bluffs overlooking the blue Pacific. Located in southern Orange County, San Clemente is about half way between Los Angeles and San Diego.

There are trail along the bluffs and picnic areas. Unfortunately, at the north end, the bluffs are currently closed (as of 3/09) due to erosion. Trails lead down to the beach below.

Surfers take to the waves at the north end of the beach, while swimmers, body surfers and skin divers enjoy the rest.
