Huntington Beach California
Real Estate Overview

Considering Huntington Beach California real estate for your vacation beach house, beach condo, your retirement home, investment property, or year round dream home?

Huntington Beach is a sprawling community with a lot of beach (8 ½ miles of it). Famous for surfing the world over, “Surf City” is also known locally as a great place to raise a family. For its size, it is one of the safest cities in the United States.

Huntington Beach is the third largest city in Orange County with a population just under 200,000. It is also 60% owner occupied with a median household income of around $76,000.

Huntington Beach properties range from smaller, older homes near the old town section to newer, gated communities of large executive style homes, to condos near the beach, to inland neighborhoods of ranch style homes built in the 70’s.

As of February 2010, the median sales price according to Zillow.com is right around $587,000, and the median estimated home value according to cyberhomes.com is about $663,000. Properties range from small bungalows by the beach to multi million dollar homes in gated communities. When looking for a property, note that many sellers are asking prices above the current market value, so do your due diligence to find the real deals.
