Five Popular Hotels
In La Jolla

One of these hotels in La Jolla might be just perfect for your beach getaway in Southern California.  Three are ocean front hotels, three are luxury hotels, and two of those are both.

La Jolla is a beautiful little seaside village just north of Pacific Beach in San Diego. If you have never been, you are sure to be charmed.

You can enjoy the boutique shops, galleries, elegant restaurants and charming bakeries.  Or kayak around the kelp beds, stroll along the waterfront path or snorkel in the La Jolla cove.

La Jolla Cove

Following is a selection of five of the best rated La Jolla hotels on TripAdvisor at the time of this writing:

The Lodge At Torrey Pines

the Lodge At Torrey Pines on TripAdvisor

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is considered a luxury resort. It has consistently won a 5 diamond rating with AAA.  It's location is up on the cliffs above Torrey Pines State Beach and at the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course.

The architecture is modeled after early 20th century Craftsman style. Something else that makes this one unique amongst hotels in La Jolla: the doormen wear Scottish kilts! The heated pool is filled with saline water and has underwater speakers. The hot tub overlooks the golf course.  There are poolside cabanas, a croquet lawn and a world class spa.

Two restaurants are onsite, top rated A. R. Valentien and the more casual  Grill.  The Lodge at Torrey Pines is located at 11480 N. Torrey Pines Road.
