El Capitan State Beach


El Capitan State Beach is located 17 miles west of Santa Barbara California, off of Highway 101.

There are plenty of trees in the campsite area, and the beach is just down the path. A bike trail leads west to Refugio State Beach. The beach is sandy, but there are also tidepools to explore. You can swim, surf, fish or picnic.

In the winter, the camground is closed, but the park is open for day use. Call 805-968-1033. You can find the El Capitan campground at 10 Refugio Beach Road in Goleta, off the 101 freeway.
