Many of the hotels are in the heart of Avalon, within walking distance to the beach at Avalon Bay, shops, restaurants and the Green Pier. It’s a good idea to make a reservation for a Catalina Island hotel well in advance for the summer months. The weather is pretty nice year round, so you might consider going in fall or spring when the island has less visitors and the hotel rates may be less.
