Camping Newport Beach

Newport Dunes and Crystal Cove are your options for camping Newport Beach.

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort is a huge RV park with full hookups and a ton of amenities. It has a mediterranean style village complete with a laundromat, store, clubhouse, pool, spa and fitness room. A large sandy beach fronts the swimming lagoon. Small watercraft boat rentals and lessons are available.

Newport Dunes is located on the Back Bay of Newport Beach Harbor. See Newport Dunes for more information.

For a completely different sort of Newport Beach camping experience, Crystal Cove Newport Beach is a large state park with 3 and a half miles of beach and tidepools. Offshore is a marine preserve which snorkelers and scuba divers can enjoy. Hiking and horseback riding trails cross the park on the bluffs and lead down to the beach.

The camping area is actually 3 miles inland uphill from Pacific Coast Highway going away from the beach. You park at the El Moro lot and hike in. It is primitive camping and you must pack in your own water and pack out your own trash. There is a pit toilet.

Crystal Cove is located south of Newport Beach and Corona Del Mar just before you hit Laguna. It is truly a beautiful natural place where you can leave the city behind. Book now at ReserveAmerica. For more information, call 949-494-3539.
