Check For Current California Beach Vacation Rentals In Your Favorite Beach Town

These are some popular places for Southern California beach vacation rentals, with links to currently available options.

Newport Beach Vacation Rentals
The Newport peninsula and Balboa Island are ideal places to stay. The oceanfront homes have a very wide, sandy beach and a boardwalk for biking, skating and strolling.

San Clemente Vacation Rental
This little Spanish-Mediterranean village by the sea is really lovely. The train stops here as well.

Laguna Beach Vacation Rental
Originally an artist's colony, Laguna still has 3 major art festivals every summer and the village atmosphere across from the beach is complemented by many fine restaurants and art galleries.

San Diego Vacation Rentals

Great place for a family beach vacation, with many beach rentals found in Pacific Beach and Mission Beach. San Diego has plenty of attractions besides the beach to keep your vacation full and fun.

Santa Barbara Vacation Rentals
Beautiful town between the mountains and the sea, full of California history, palm trees and red roofed houses. Also upscale restaurants and shopping, a botanical garden, zoo, museums and the Mission.

Santa Monica Vacation Rentals
Staying in Santa Monica is convenient to visiting things on the West Side, such as Malibu, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, UCLA, and the Getty Center. Plus, LAX (the Los Angeles International Airport)is much closer than it is to Orange County Beaches or Ventura County Beaches.

Malibu Vacation Rentals- Malibu stretches out along for quite a ways, so when choosing a vacation home rental or beach house, consider whether you want to be near the pier, or Point Dume, or Topanga State Beach, or the Malibu Country Market. All are spread out, so you'll need to potentially add travel time to your daily plans.

Tips For What To Ask When Making Your Reservation

Here are a few tips to consider when checking out your options:

  • Ask questions of the vacation home service or property owner, such as whether or not there is a nearby grocery store, market or restaurant.
  • Is this a rental by owner or by a property manager? There are pros and cons to each.
  • Also ask about the parking situation. Is a spot included, or must you find street parking?
  • Ask about the sleeping arrangements. If it sleeps 10, are these all in real beds, sofa beds or pull out cots?
  • What appliances are in the beach house? Is there a microwave, washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, stereo, DVD player? This information will help you decide what to pack, and to know what to shop for when you get there.
  • Do you want your vacation home beach rental to be within walking distance to the beach, on a beach bus route, or directly facing the ocean?

Once you have an answer to each of these questions, you are ready to narrow down your search for the perfect Southern California beach vacation rental!
